Saudi Architecture is applied to new construction permits. For existing buildings, specific instructions will be issued at a later time if required.

Currently, projects submitted to the design studio have been returned because they did not meet any of the design guideline requirements. After updating the design to comply with the guidelines, a new request should be submitted. If there are comments, the request will be returned with feedback but will not be rejected. If there are technical issues on the Baladi platform, the support team should be contacted.

The architectural style of each city or region is defined according to the zones shown in the Saudi Architecture map, and it is applied to developments within that boundary.

Saudi Architecture does not impose additional financial burdens. The guidelines were developed with flexible standards that allow the use of locally available materials and design solutions without introducing extra costs for owners or developers.

This is not possible, as each geographical zone has specific design guidelines based on the approved Saudi Architecture map.

Buildings with previously issued construction permits before the official implementation date of Saudi Architecture guidelines are not required to apply them. Any future updates will be announced. However, following the guidelines is recommended due to their positive impact on the urban landscape.

It is recommended to visit the design studio before submitting a request on the Baladi platform. The engineer or consulting office should discuss the project with the studio team to avoid design issues or modifications, saving time for both the consultant and the applicant.
